Student Intern Program
As a service to the community, we offer even more affordable counseling services, by a Master Level Student Intern when available. The Master's Level Student Intern is supervised directly by Jessica B. Gibson, LMHC, QS and their university.

We were students once, so we know how valuable an Internship Site is that offers a safe place to learn and grow. When you are in the process of becoming a Counselor, you are required one full year of hands on counseling experience and supervision. This is designed to aid in becoming a proficient Counselor while obtaining your Masters Degree. Masters Level Student Interns have the knowledge and training, and an Internship Site to put it all into practice.

Jessica B. Gibson, LMHC directly supervises Masters Level Student Interns and helps equip the students for their journey into the counseling profession.

Typically, we start the sliding scale rate at $35 per session, however this rate is negotiable because these clinicians are students and we want to give you the best professional care at an affordable rate.
Madee Pietroburgo
Graduate Level Student Intern - Stetson University
I attend Stetson University as a graduate student, seeking a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health. As a therapist, I aim to provide a safe, warm place for my clients throughout all walks of life. I primarily work with life transitions, anxiety, depression, relational distress among other areas. Whether you’re a first time therapy seeker or a seasoned client working to maintain your goals, you are welcome. Together, we can work to find coping tools and supportive resources that best fit your lifestyle needs.
When working with individuals I implement a Person-Centered approach that encourages exploration and motivation to reach one’s full potential. My work is mostly collaborative as I believe in promoting my clients’ autonomy. I like to use an approach that best utilizes your own strengths and capabilities to encourage your growth. I also pull from principals of Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) in my work with couples. In this approach we work to identify any negative cycles in the relationship with destructive patterns and work to replace them with positive interactions that can aid in creating a secure connection. In addition, I offer a faith-based approach upon request.

Lauren McCollum
Graduate Level Student Intern - Stetson University
I am a graduate level student intern with Creation Counseling. I am currently attending Stetson University and am in the Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy program. I am fulfilling my clinical requirements at Creation Counseling to finish my master’s program. I am able to work with clients of all ages, including couples and families. My goal as a counselor is to meet individuals where they are by offering a safe and compassionate environment.
I integrate a solution-focused approach, person-centered approach and emotion-focused approach into my sessions, creating a balance of healing and future goal setting that is individualized to my client. I work with my clients to heal and help them achieve the best
versions of themselves. I am also growing my knowledge in cognitive behavioral therapy to help change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors that lead to emotional distress by teaching practical coping skills.
I have experience in working with elementary school children as well as children on the spectrum. I am eager to expand this experience and begin working with middle, high school, and college aged individuals.
My number one priority as a counselor is to create a safe and accepting environment for my clients. Counseling is something that can be beneficial to everyone, and all are welcome. I look forward to beginning my journey here at Creation Counseling.

Jenna Hicks
Graduate Level Student Intern - Western New Mexico University
I am a dedicated counseling student with a passion for supporting individuals on their journey towards mental wellness. Inspired by my own personal experiences with therapy, I entered the field with a deep understanding of its transformative power. With a compassionate approach, I strive to meet clients where they are, providing empathetic guidance and fostering growth.
Coming from both a law enforcement family and my own professional background in criminal defense legal work, I understand the complexities that follow the criminal justice system and its effect on those within it.
Beyond counseling, I find joy in spending quality time with loved ones, staying updated on pop culture, and cherishing the role of being a devoted pet mom. I look forward to the work we can do together.
